October 4-week kids class

• Week 1 Monster Feet Planters: Using slabs and simple clay shapes, students will create their very own Monster Feet Planter — a quirky planter designed to look like a creature’s feet sticking right out from the soil. From spooky claws and silly toes to wild textures and imaginative details, students can bring their own unique monster to life. 
• Week 2 Jack-o'-Lanterns: Using the pinch pot technique and heaps of imagination, students will create one or two little jack-o'-lanterns — just in time for Halloween! Students will carve the faces and create a little lid, so it can hold a small candle or LED light. It’s perfect for lighting up porches and scaring the neighbors!
• Week 3 Bookend: Using slabs, students will create a sturdy ceramic bookend and learn how to shape and form a slab into a stable base, then build and attach their chosen sculptural design using slip-and-score. They’ll explore simple techniques for adding texture, details, and personality. 
• Week 4 Color Day: Kids will receive all their projects and paint with underglazes. A fun, creative wrap-up to a month of awesome clay adventures!

Upon completion of the 4-week kids class, guardians will receive an email notification when the pieces are ready for pick-up (generally 3 to 5 weeks after the last class).
