⌕ Studio Manager (Full-Time)
This position combines studio operations and community engagement. The Studio Manager will help ensure the studio runs smoothly while supporting the growth of a welcoming and vibrant creative community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support daily studio operations — loading & unloading kilns, making and maintaining glazes, and general studio upkeep
- Manage behind-the-scenes class logistics
- Manage marketing efforts, including maintaining Spiffy’s Instagram account and creating engaging content and advertising materials
- Provide support to students and members, answering questions and creating a welcoming environment
- Help grow our offerings and strengthen our studio community
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive creative space
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working in a ceramics studio
- Ability to carry up to 25 lbs
- Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets) and experience creating content (reels, posts, stories) for Instagram
- Availability for 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts; schedule is flexible and may include weekday evenings (1pm – 9pm) and/or weekend daytime hours (10am – 6pm)
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, including 15-day paid time off (PTO)

⌕ Studio Technician (Part-Time)
Responsibilities
- Support daily studio operations — loading & unloading kilns, making and maintaining glazes, trimming & glazing pieces
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio
- Prepare materials and tools for classes and members
- Provide basic support to students and members as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive creative space
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a ceramics studio
- Ability to carry up to 25 lbs
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Availability for a part-time schedule (16 – 20 hours per week), with a minimum of one 4-hour evening or weekend shift.
