Whether you are organizing a team-building day, celebrating something special, or simply gathering with friends, our hands-on pottery experiences offer a fun and meaningful way to connect. No prior experience required! Just roll up your sleeves and enjoy playing with clay. With guided wheel throwing and handbuilding activities, everyone will get to create one-of-a-kind pieces while bonding over creativity and shared laughter. Here's our offerings
(1) Small Group:
- Capacity: 1 to 5 participants
- Price:
- $185 per participant for 1 individual
- $155 per participant for 2 or 3 individuals
- $135 per participant for 4 individuals
- $125 per participant for 5 individuals
- Duration: 2 hours
- Options for Workshop Themes:
(a) Intro to Wheel Throwing Workshop: Learn the foundation of wheel throwing. The instructor will guide you through the rest of the class as you create cups, bowls, plates, or whatever inspires you.
(b) Intro to Handbuilding Workshop: Learn the foundations of handbuilding and how to utilize handbuilding tools and techniques. These are open-ended projects. You are free to make whatever inspires you! Let your creativity lead the way.
(2) Medium Group:
- Capacity: 6 to 13 participants
- Price: $120 per person
- Duration: 2 hours
- Options for Workshop Themes:
(a) Cup Throwing Workshop (on the wheel)
(b) Marble Plate Handbuilding Workshop (on the table): Learn to work with clay using slab-building techniques, adding volume and texture, while blending and layering two-tone clays to create stunning marble patterns.
(3) Large Group: Cup Throwing & Plate Handbuilding Workshop (on the wheel and table)

Age requirement for private events
Please note that our private classes are available for individuals aged 18 and older. If a participant is between the ages of 12 and 17 and would still like to join, please email us at spiffy@thespiffystudio.info to discuss the possibility. We are happy to explore options where appropriate.

(1) Small Group Workshop:
Each participant can keep up to two pieces, and choose one glaze from four options for each pottery piece.
(2) Medium Group Workshop:
Each participant can keep up to two cups or one marble plate, and choose one glaze from four options for each pottery piece.
(3) Large Group: Cup Throwing & Plate Handbuilding Workshop:
Each participant can keep one cup and one plate and choose one glaze from four options for each pottery piece. This workshop is perfect for groups looking for a comprehensive introduction to pottery. Participants will explore two key techniques: wheel throwing and handbuilding. The group will be split into two, with each participant spending half the time throwing on the wheel to make a cup, and the other half handbuilding a plate.
- Our staff will trim and smooth the pieces to give them a polished, perfect finish and apply your glaze of choice.
- Once the pieces are ready, we will notify you when they are ready for pickup (generally 3 to 5 weeks after the workshop).

- Once confirmed, secure your booking by making a one-time upfront payment through our website at least 10 calendar days before your scheduled event to finalize your reservation.
