Come relax, slow down, and get hands-on in this fun workshop! You’ll design a playful pedestal earring holder that’s both beautiful and functional — perfect for showing off your favorite earrings and tiny treasures, all made by you from clay, not mass-produced pieces.
- All skill levels welcome: Our workshops are designed for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a budding artist.
- Personalized guidance: Our instructor will give one-on-one attention based on each student’s age and skill level.
- Learn by doing: Using slabs, students will create a pedestal bowl from start to finish. A square slab will be formed into a pedestal base and attached to the bowl using slip-and-score. Students will then cut a slab into their desired plate shape and to smooth and gently hollow it into a shallow bowl form. Finally, students will design and punch holes for their chosen use, such as organizing small items like earrings.
- Take home your masterpiece: Each participant will be able to keep a piece and choose one glaze from four options for each item. Our staff will apply your glaze of choice after the first firing. You’ll proudly take home a one-of-a-kind ceramic pedestal earring holder, ready to display and organize your favorite pieces.
This workshop is designed to spark imagination, boost confidence, and — most of all — have fun! They will be guided step-by-step through the hand-building process, all while enjoying the creative freedom from shaping the features to decorating with texture and details. Throughout the workshop, they will receive support and encouragement to explore and express their unique artistic styles!
Upon completion of the workshop, guardians will receive an email notification when the pieces are ready for pick-up (generally 3 to 5 weeks after the workshop).
